The itinerary of 5 days trip from Marrakesh to Sahara and Essaouira
Day 1: Marrakesh- Ait Benhaddou- Ouarzazate- Roses Valley- Dades Valley.
Your 5-day trip from Marrakesh to Sahara and Essaouira commences when you meet our driver. Then, you will leave Marrakech and travel to Dades Valley. The desert tour takes you across the High Atlas Mountains via the pass of Tizi n’ Tichka. There, you will have some stops to take in and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the mountains. The desert tour travels to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which is the oldest and largest in Morocco and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The journey continues to Ouarzazate “the African Hollywood” where we will visit a movie studio for some photo opportunities. The trip continues to the Valley of Roses and Kalaat M’Gouna which is known for its annual festival during the rose harvest in May. We then drive to your hotel in Dades Valley for your overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades Valley- Todra Gorge- Erfoud - Camel trekking- Desert Camp.
Your day will start in the morning at the hotel in Dades Valley. The first stop will be the amazing rock formation “the monkey toes”, and the 19th-century Kasbah of Ait Yul. Then, the desert tour takes you via Tinghir and the Todra Valley, affording panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. On arrival at the Gorge, you will walk under the 300m high red cliffs where many rock climbers come to test their skills. We continue our journey via Erfoud, Tinjdad, Malaab, and Tourong. In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara Desert where, if you wish, you may ride camels to the camp, stopping on the way to enjoy the beauty of the sunset across the dunes. In the evening, you will relax in the desert with Berber music and be mesmerized by a star-filled sky.

Day 3: Desert Camp- Rissani- Alnif- Agdaz - Ouarzazate.
The third day of 5 days trip from Marrakesh to Sahara and Essaouira starts in the early morning to watch the beautiful sunrise over the Sahara Desert dunes. Afterward, you’ll have breakfast at the camp. Then, en route back to the Merzouga village you will appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes, changing with the light as the day progresses. Then, we travel to Ouarzazate passing via a lot of towns such as Rissani, Alnif, Tazzarine, and N’koub. We will have a stop in Agdaz to see Draa Valley the longest valley with palm trees and lunch will be there. After that, we travel to Ouarzazate via Anti Atlas Mountains. We will have a chance to visit Taourirt Kasbah and the museum of Cinema.
Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Ouarzazat _ Taznakht _ Taliouine _ Taroudant _ Agadir.
After breakfast in your riad, we’ll head to Taroudant via Taznakht and then Agadir. Our first stop will be in Taznakht which is famous for its rugs. Continue our way to Taliouine, the capital of saffron in Morocco, you have the option to visit the Safran co-operative. If your visit coincides with the saffron harvest, you will have the opportunity to meet the Berber people with their families harvesting the saffron in their fields. We should arrive at Taroudant in the afternoon, here you will see the ramparts and walk within the small alleys in the Medina. Taroudant is always referred to as “the little Marrakesh” because it was built by the Saadian dynasty who used it as their capital before they moved to Marrakech in the 16th century. We will head on to our last destination which is Agadir.
Overnight in Agadir.
Day 5 : Agadir _ Essaouira _ Marrakech.
Breakfast in the hotel, and then head for Essaouira, traveling via Taghazout. Our first stop will be in a beautiful panorama view of Agadir and the beach. Agadir resort city was a very big tourist destination for many years. We will continue to Essaouira. The coastal road offers beautiful scenery, an area famous for the Argan trees. Here you will see herds of goats climbing the Argan trees looking for better food than they can find on the ground. After several stops along the coast, we get to Essaouira in the afternoon. You will have some free time to explore the Medina of Essaouira by yourself and to see the port, also enjoy walking on the beach. Before the day is over we drive back to Marrakech. We will drop you off at your accommodation hotel or riad in Marrakech.
