Our schedule leads us to the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, where we will stop to view different Moroccan Berber dwellings, including Tizi N Tichka, which is 2,260 meters high. The journey continues to Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s largest Kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You also go to the intriguing city of Ouarzazate, where we view the impressive Kasbah Taourirt, the Atlas Studios, and a museum. We shall pass through Skoura’s palm grove on our way to the Valley of Dades and the Valley of Roses. Dades Valley will be your final stop. There, you will be for the night.
Day 2: From Dades Valley to the Sahara desert.
The first stop in the tour will be in the rock formation that resembles monkey fingers. Next, you leave Dades Valley and proceed toward Todra Gorge. You are welcome to stroll and take in the scenery there. The trip continues to Erfoud, where fossils and dates may be discovered, via Tinjdad and Tourog. It will be late afternoon when you arrive in Merzouga. Then head to the tent via camel trekking. During the journey, you will make stops to take photos of the dunes and camels. You will finally pause to take in the breathtaking sunset over the dunes. Dinner will be at the camp in the desert. After that, you can take in the night and listen to some Berber music while gazing up at the stars. Spend the night at the camp.
Day 3: From the Sahara desert to Fes.
Early morning, you will witness the breathtaking sunrise over the brilliant dunes. Your Desert tour from Marrakech gives you the oportunity to ride camels back to the town after having breakfast and a shower to clean up at the tent. The journey continues through the thousands of Ziz-Palm trees. You will stop for lunch in Midelt, the “capital of apples,” after crossing the High Atlas Mountains. You will see Ifrane, sometimes referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” and the Cedar Forest, Morocco’s largest forest and home to a wide variety of birds and monkeys, before you get to Fes. Fes will be reached at dusk. In the old town, spend the night.
